Synopsis Human Development, which encompasses within it the development of an individual from womb to tomb, has opened up a vast area for study for the researchers all over the world. The study of development is the study of how and why the human organism grows and changes throughout life. Research in the field of adult development in general and child development in particular is meager in India. The broad areas of human development covered in this book include physical growth of children, cognitive, social and emotional developments, pre-school education, integrated child development services, achievement motivation, personality, child care problems.
