Synopsis This is the Ninth of the Series Cross-currents of Indian History and Culture and deals with the theme India Since Independence: The Reality and the Vision. The builders of modern India since the days of raja Rammohan Roy onwards crusaded against the social, political and economic ills of the country and presented scenario and suggests a blueprint for reforming the system. The authors would particularly like to invite the attention of their readers to the second part of the book wherein Sri Aurobindo’s vision of India has been presented through his writings.
