Synopsis This is the Fourteenth and the concluding Volume of the aeries Cross-currents on Indian History and Culture. The series started with a survey of prehistoric India and is ending with the dawn of a new millennium marking the rise of India as a Major world power during its long and checkered journey. India has successfully endured the rise and fall of hundred of dynasties and has withstood the test of time. The present Volume recalls the major milestones in India’s development since the beginning of 2004 and closes at the end of September 2005.
