Synopsis This edited volume is an endeavour to consolidate the nalysis of various dimensions of development and the underline constraints and challenges before the4 economy of uttar pradesh towards achieving development goals, i.e. growth with justice. Reference point for the assessment has been, inter alia, identified priorities and objectives of the various plans, resources allocation, investment patterns and requirement and status of its mobilization and physical targets set in the plants. This study pursues to assess whether the over-all economy f the state is moving towards desired direction and the targeted investments are big made accordingly. It focuses on following issues.
