Synopsis My life with Kotnis is a befitting tribute to Dr. D.S. Kotnis on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the victory in the War of Resistance Against Japan. The book takes us back into history when both the people of India and China rendered support and sympathy to each other in their common struggle against imperialism and oppression. Apart from recollecting her first encounter with Kotnis, her marriage, the birth of their child and later the sad demise of Kotnis and her son, Guo Qinglan further tells us about a simple nationalist turning into a staunch crusader against imperialism, an internationalist and a great friend of the Chinese people. The book is also a befitting tribute to the people of India and China in the Year of India-China Friendship. It is our hope that in the new international scenario when both India and China are moving towards a strategic cooperative partnership, these two nations would resurrect their centuries old sentiments with a new zeal, exploit their potential and embark on the road of economic cooperation, development, peace and good friendly relations.
