Synopsis The book "Technical Social Studies and the new Curriculum" had its beginning to study the curriculum revision movement in social studies at elementary, secondary and senior secondary levels. The curriculum must have some basic as well as developmental ideas both subjective and methodological to form the core. What is taught at these levels and that the job of a curriculum builder is to be structural content of the curriculum. The book integrated discussion of educational goals and nature of social studies with an idea of making curriculum for various levels of education. The purpose of social studies education is that what we choose to teach and the way we teach should reflect our society. The book is a supportive text for curriculum design for social studies. However, it should also be useful for inservice training programme, as a reference for social studies teachers and as a resource book for educators, education planners and the policy makers.
