Synopsis Everybody needs guidance and counseling in dealing with a variety of problems and at various stages of lives. Guidance is more important in the early years of the children, when they start going to school. These are the years most of their future attitudes in life take shape. This period is also a transition from home to school, which requires adjustments in the school. Environmental of the school may be quite different from that of home. Hence, these is importance of guidance an counseling at this stage. Even thought the basic of guidance and counseling are generally the same in all contexts, these will be difference when it comes to specific situations. The approach and technique in dealing with small child may differ from those in case of adults. This book attempts to cover a number of topics relating to procedures, processes, methods and techniques of guidance and counseling, which would be helpful for teachers, counselors, and students Apart from providing a theoretical background in a simple language, the book illustrates numerous examples and discussions of real life situations.
