Synopsis Ganesa, the elephant-headed God, is a popular deity all over South Asia. Worshipped as Vighnesavara or Vighnaraja, Ganesa is propitiated before embarking on any venture as he is the remover of obstacles, the regulator of success, and symbolises auspicious beginnings.
