The authors place on record their own observations to negate the contrary views expressed with regard to Justice Krishna Iyer's commitment in deciding the labour matter.The purpose of this work is to make very clear certain key aspects of industrial relations in India to those within the country and to the outside world, with a view to impressing upon the reader that the labour laws are not harsh but humane, oriented towards providing a protective mechanism for the economically weaker sections of this vast country.
