Synopsis The villages are undergoing dramatic changes in ways, skills, behaviour and overall living patterns as consequences of the advancement of agriculture and introduction of latest agriculture technology and implementation of various development projects. Some are conducive to achieving social justice, democratic growth and community solidarity. The past experience has been that all the changes are not favourable causing socio-economic imbalance e.g. labour migration, labour disputes, unemployment etc. Thus the present study which focused upon significant aspects of agricultural modernization is very timely and may help to policy makers, administrators and technocrats to deal with intricate rural problems more appropriately. The present research work would be unique accomplishment, as it has the best use of the latest scientific methods to analyse the data collection for the purpose pertaining to the peasant society. The outcomes of this study would be rendering immense help in future planning of such studies.
