Synopsis Modern human does not feel happy because he is dissatisfied with his way of life. If we dig deep under the surface, however we realize that no form of happiness is possible for the individual as long as his physical and mental condition is less than perfect. The problem will only be solved when man enjoys sound health, remains pure in his thoughts, words and action, rises above a materialist attitude to life, and realize that all his resources, indeed his life itself, should be used for improvement of himself. It is possible only through to understand the science of yoga. The ancient science of Yoga lays down universally applicable principles for developing find sensitivity and achieving a profound understanding of the body, mind and the spiritual dimensions of man. Only a true integration and profound knowledge of the various aspects of his self makes available to man the shree joy of living that is free from anxiety, fear and false limitations.  The main objective of teaching of Yoga education is mainly to keep human feet and healthy. It is a method designed to reveal the sources of creative inspiration hidden inside the human psyche, and thus involves the man fold expression of our being. It lays the foundations for a higher level of self development and a deeper self-awareness.  The present work is an attempt to explore the scope of Yoga for understanding and development of the many dimensions of self, while previous chapters are devoted to the highest concern of Yoga namely the expansions of consciousness, rest of chapters brings together some significant experiences which focus on their teaching at higher and lower level of education system. Finally, the relevance of Yoga teaching in modern education system and some suggestions as to how it may be integrated in it have been considered in the final section.  This work will be of value to educationists, scholars and social thinkers who have an interest in the social reconstruction of our society as well as those who have a concern fore personal growth and a larger, more comprehensive concept of man that the one provided by modern civilization.
