Synopsis This book talks about only two pramanas instead of four which are generally characteristics of pure Nyaya treatise. The doctrines of inference and fallacies are treated in this book in a comparatively brief manner. The condition of synthesis has been indicated. An introduction to saptadarthi helps in understanding the later development of Nyaya Vaisesika. Classificatory principle is used in the book. The division of experience into seven padarthas or ultimate categories is also an important step in the style. The difficult principles of philosophy have been analyzed in a style making the subject interesting and useful.
