Synopsis Young boys and girls face many sex-related problems at their adolescent period. In the absence of accurate knowledge anxieties and confusion grow among them and they fall as the prey of many adverse situations. Counselling and imparting sex education is the only panacea for them to overcome their ills. Here this research work is the combined effort of the two researchers who with the help of one hundred students of 3 High Schools of Pipili Block of Puri District in Orissa have studied sex information available in the syllabus of class IX and X, Science Books of the Board of Secondary Education, Orissa. They have identified their sex-related problems and collected opinions in introducing sex education in their schools. Further adequacy of sex information in school curriculum in solving sex related problems have been examined by them and on the basis of data available analysis has been made, conclusion drawn and suggestions prescribed.
