Synopsis This book entitled "Pteridophyta", is a compilation work and embodies a fairly comprehensive treatment of the fundamental facts and aspects of Botany. This book will serve as an introduction to the subject of botany to the beginners in this field. The syllabi of all the universities have been kept in view during the preparation of the manuscript of this text. This work may also serve as laboratory manual. The text has been written in simple language and profusely illustrated with self explanatory diagrams and photographs. The figures are provided with detailed legando, certain of the diagram have been drawn by author himself and most of the figures have been quoted from the authentic works of different authors. Suggestions for the further improvement the book shall be highly appreciated and would incorporated in future editions.
