This book on "Gir Lion" covers every aspect of the Asiatic Lion, including the past and the present status, and likely future scenario, and also contains an account of about two decade's of the author's observations on the big cats in the Gir forest. The dramatic events, interesting incidences, observations on habits and its social life, hunting behaviour and cultural linkages of the indigenous people with the lion, as observed and felt over a period, when the author along with his colleagues and staff, followed the trails of the lion, have been narrated in the book.
