Synopsis Satyagraha is a moral war and Satyagrahi a pilgrim with a torchlight in hand showing the way. Mahatma Gandhi's unique invention of this weapon of non-violent struggle stirred up the imagination of the people of India. Eventually, this weapon  has been proved to be most efficacious in mobilising people for mass agitation, movements launched by any political party, frontal organisation and people's front. People have this priceless, matchless weapon in their hands when injustice and oppression go beyond bearable limits. In this anthology, writings on Gandhi led Satyagraha movements as well as post independence movements as Chipko, Bhoodan, Jana Sangharsh Bahini, Narmada Bachao, Singur have been included. Besides Gandhi and poet Tagore, contributors include participant leaders as Acharya Kripalani, Narendra Deva, Dr. Lohia, Jayaprakash Narayan, Rezaul Karim, N.K. Bose, Ajay Mukherjee who're celebrity figures. The opposing views of M.N. Roy, Tarkunde, Saumyen Tagore have also been included. B.G. Vergeese, Surendra Mohan, Dr. Dhirendra Sharma, Buddhadeva Bhattacharyya, Rajindar Sachar, Jahar Sen, Supriya Munsi, P.P. Mahato are well known in their respective field of knowledge. Some documents, clipping are also included for better understanding of the movements.
