Synopsis Numerically, though women in India are almost equal to men and participation-wise have entered all lines of gainful employment, but their participation in the entrepreneurial activity seems to be disproportionately low. Therefore entrepreneurship among women has become an important subject of concern in the country. To quantify women's contribution to the economy to strengthen their position in the context of future challenges is a key issue. This book is a modest attempt to review the various issues pertaining to women entrepreneurship such as motivational factors, traits of women entrepreneurs, constraints, future prospects and strategies etc.
