Synopsis Tuberculosis is a most dreaded disease of humanity. Though it can be controlled in a better way nowadays, yet its terrific effects on individual and society are long-lasting. The situation is more serious in developing countries and especially in India. It claims the majority of deaths. The purpose in writing this work has been to present to the homoeopathic fraternity the subject of the disease along with its treatment. Modern chemotherapeutic medication (and vaccination) are there to check, treat and cure the tuberculosis, but the homoeopathic approach of treatment is gentle, easy, rapid and permanent. The poor communities, where this disease exists, need homoeopathy more than other systems, and the reason of this acute demand is very simple and sober. On one hand, homoeopathy which is a very specific way of therapeutics offers a complete treatment economically; on the other hand, its working style is easy, simple, non-violent and affordable. Many chronic diseases have been successfully cured in homoeopathy and so is tuberculosis. Nearly every aspect important for homoeopathic philosophy and posological theories of tuberculosis has been presented herein in a simple language and lucid.
