Synopsis A book on cardiovascular diseases and their homoeopathic treatment is a rare one.  Dr. Balakrishnan has ventured to write one.  His effort is commendable.  Homoeopathic practitioners rarely get an opportunity to treat heart diseases.  Sometimes, a heart patient may seek homoeopathic treatment as a last resort.  The medical book, medical columns in periodicals, all create alarm and panic and cardiologists admonish the patients from approaching a homoeopath or for that mater, any other school of medicine.  Any amount of our reassurances to the patient, that homoeopathy is a therapeutic science which heals and does not harm in the least, is of no avail, because of the fear put into the mind by the cardiologist.  However, if a homoeopath has the opportunity to treat cardiovascular he/she must be well-armed and Dr. Balakrishanan's book will be of great help in this.
