Synopsis Vaccinosis and its Cure by Thuja, by James Compton Burnett, was published in 1897. The first part of this work concerns Thuja and its relation to vaccinosis. The second part is a brief treatise on homeoprophylaxis, or how the law of similars might be utilized in the prevention of specific diseases. For Burnett, vaccinosis was a subdivision of Hahnemann's sycosis. He felt that recognition of its prevalence was of considerable utility in the consulting room and at beside. Homoeoprophylaxis was an area that Burnett intended to explore, armed with the power of the law of similars.
