Synopsis The book analyses the significance of Jaina theory of Anekaentavada (theory of manifoldness of reality) in a religiously plural context. The basic argument of the theory is that reality is complex in nature and consists of innumerable characteristics (anatadharmakam vastu). In order to comprehend truth one has to take into account all standpoints.  The theory which is an extension of the Jaina spirit of Ahimsa in the plane of thought seemingly offers paradigms for Christian approach to religious pluralism.
