After that, he wrote regularly, covering almost all genres of literature.  He traversed a long road from his firs novel Patan (1928) to Sabhinh Nachawat Ram Gosai to the highest peak of creativity. The publication of his Chitra Lekha, put not only Vermaji, but even the Hindi novel on the highest pinnacle of success. His other popular novels include Tere Mere Raaste, Bhule Bisre Chitra (which won the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1961), Samarthya aur Seema, Seedhi Sachchi Baaten and Prashan aur Marichika.
