This Advanced Jiwan Oxford Dictionary has been compiled for the use of those readers whose mother tongue is Punjabi or Hindi. While compiling this comprehensive dictionary we have kept in mind this fact that all prevalent English words, their derivatives, idioms and proverbs should also be included. The compilors first took the simple word (sometimes called a root) labeling its part of speech, gave its English meaning. Then pronunciation in Punjabi and meanings in Punjabi are given. After that in the similar way pronunciation in Hindi and meanings in Hindi are added. This arrangment has utilized the extra space and the dictionary has become more solid and condensed.
