Synopsis This classified and annotated bibliography focuses on literature dealing with the status and conditions of education among Muslims in India today as well as on-going debates among Indian Muslims about the appropriate sort of education that their children should receive. It examines literature published from 1990 onwards in English and Urdu. It is hoped that the arguments put forward in the summaries of the books and other write-ups referred to here would provide the reader with a fairly good indication of the actual educational conditions and problems of the Muslims of the country today.
