Synopsis Buddhist influences are evident in the culture of Nepal, Tibetan, Buddhism is the most widely practiced form. Many Buddhist groups are influences by Hinduism in Nepal. Some ethnic groups in central Nepal are also followers of Buddhism. This book aims at tracing the influences of Buddhism on this otherwise pre-dominantly Hindu Kingdom. Fact remains that the founder of Buddhism was born in Nepal. How in such a country only 11% of Nepal's population practice Buddhism.
