Synopsis This book, "Dynamics of Cross Cultural and Intercultural Communication" assists professionals communicate across cultures by promoting cross-cultural understanding and fostering communication. The book focuses on the need to develop the knowledge and skills to communicate more effectively in different cultural environments and to work more harmoniously with people from cultures other than their own. It covers the importance of language, written, non-verbal communication and negotiation to bridge the gap among people from different cultures. It highlights key elements western of eastern cultural concepts which illustrate the cross cultural differences or similarities that exist between them. The book has three sections. The articles in the first section of the book "Introduction" deals with the definition, various variables and theories of cross cultural and intercultural communication. This section discusses the cross-cultural differences, mistakes to avoid, and how to function in a multicultural team. A new model for cross cultural communication is also introduced in this section.
