Synopsis The book on 'Legal Forestry' is divided into three parts.  The Part-I includes the chapters on Concept of Law, Forest Law in India, Legal Procedures in Forestry, Power and Privileges of Forest Officers and Judicial Activism in Forestry.  These chapter’s deals with various legal concepts and procedures related to Forest Laws.  The Part II include The Indian Forest Act, 1927 with the latest amendments under the Indian Forest (Uttaranchal Amendment) Act 2001 and The Indian Forest (Uttar Pradesh Amendment) Act, 2000.  After various sections of the Act, detailed comments, references and court judgments are also given, which helps in interpretation of different provisions.  The Part III of the book incorporates the Forest (Conservation) Act, 1980 along with the latest the Forest (Conservation) Amendment Rules, 2004.
