Synopsis The present work is a result of Dr. Singh's concentration study and research for quite number of year. Our being an agrarian economy, we are largely effected by flood, famine and at times, by earthquake. The author has dealt with these aspects in detail in this work. His analytical approach and suggestion in regard to these calamities are worth our consideration, for they effect our economy adversely, and have proved to be a source of sessions concern not only for the government but also for the common masses, about 76% of which live on agriculture.
