Synopsis The deficiencies in conventional agriculture have opened up new vistas in the domain of farm biotechnology, one of which is genetically modified crops. Opponents contradict the above stand by exerting that all such observations are not the outcomes of any study conducted in the area but merely a hype generated by the multinational seed and agro-based industries. To resolve the issue it, therefore, becomes obligatory that extensive research is conducted to ascertain the relevance of the crops in the present day.
