Imagine for a moment a world without language, there will be no information, no exchange of views and no communication between people. There will only be signs and gestures and shouts as in the days of the cane dwellers. But man has made a quanteem leap from his primitive handicaps and acquired the powers of the using language with marvelous effect. Man alone of all creature is endowed with power of speech. By means of speech he mixer with his fellows, co-operated with them and makes his life orderly and systematic. Therefore, we can say that language is an essential part in human life Everyone from birth to death makes use of it. Basically, this is a research work done by the writer to make the In-service teacher active while teaching English language.
