Synopsis The book on Fundamentals of Economic Statistics covers various concepts, approaches, techniques and applications pertaining to theory and data concerning economics and other allied fields. There are eleven chapters. Basic concepts of statistics and econometrics have been discussed in first six chapters while other five chapters deal with economic aspects like index numbers, time series and demand analysis. The theory has been substantiated with examples so that the basic concepts are easily understood. A good number of exercises have also been given at the end of various chapters so that a student of economic statistics can deal with such type of problems encountered in reality while conducting research or otherwise.
