Synopsis This compendium of twenty-five papers, presented at a national seminar, organized by the Indian Nepalis Study and Research Forum, addresses the problems of nationality of Indian Nepalis. Examining the conceptual and theoretical issues related to the identity of Indian Nepalis, the contributors deliberate on their search for Indian national identity without losing the regional and local perspectives that are equally important because Indian Nepalis live under different circumstances in different parts of India. They also deal with the identity crisis of Indian Nepali youths, trafficking of Nepali women in India, herbal medicinal culture of Nepalis, and linkage between India and Nepal with special focus on history, literature and people.
