Synopsis Human resources being the most significant and active factor of production, developing the human resources, upgrading their skill and knowledge would lead to economic development. We cannot isolate women’s position as they constitute half of human resource. Women in India, are the backbone of society, they are its conscience keepers. They have kept moral and cultural value alive. They have a strong sense of responsibilities. The present investigation is an attempt to study the banking habits among the women and role of bank’s in economic development of women.
