Synopsis
The book presented here in ten chapters and an important Appendix contains not only general surveys of the coin-systems in India but also some studies of important aspwcts of the coins issued from the 8th or 7th century B.C. down almost to the present times. Herein lies, perhaps, the justification of a fresh treatise of some older studies.
