Synopsis The present book is a product of intensive fieldwork conducted among the Lohar-Gadiyas of Malthon town of Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh, India. The objective of the study is to focus sensitively sedentrized life and changing scenario of socio-demographic and health practices profile. The author highlight the socio-demographic and health practices profile, including maternal and child health practices, environmental sanitation, sanitary habits and their personal hygiene etc. The book contains fifteen chapters, in which twelve different aspects of sedentrized or semi-nomadic life have been covered.
