Synopsis The work examines the relations between media on the one hand and military and politics on the other with reference to the situation in Bangladesh. Covering TV, radio, print media, news agencies and cinema, it presents the functioning of the media in Bangladesh, examining issues like freedom of the press and impotency of the media when a country is underdeveloped and its political institutions are weak. Giving the views of political personalities and thinkers, it discusses the use of media as a weapon by military establishments.
