The sole objective of this book "Muslim Feminism and Feminist Movement in Central Asia" is to conduct an in-depth study of the origin and development of Muslim feminism and feminist movement in Central Asian countries—Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakstan, Soviet Central Asia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Here, we have presented 15 important articles contributed by eminent scholars. The concept of feminism in Islam is of recent development. All these articles basically deal with the nature and motivation of feminist movement and its impact on the socio-political and legal reforms in family law and the status of Central Asian women.
