Synopsis The story of the sacrifice of Isaac assumes a central place in the religious traditions of Judaism, Christianity and Islam. This story has evolved into a myth of over the years that every generation has tried to search for the meanings of their situations, particularly their sufferings. At a time when the interfaith readings of the scripture is prominent, the author believes that this will be a humble contribution in this direction.
