Synopsis This book focuses upon the process of land alienation going on since the colonial period, the skewed pattern of socio-economic development in the tribal area after independence and the resulting political movements in India. Most studies on tribal land alienation have focused upon the anthropological aspects of tribal life exploitation or upon the leadership, while ignoring the basic underlying causes. This book hopes to fill this gap to establish and interlink age between the socio-economic condition of the tribal population.
