Synopsis The present title "Elements of the Nature and Prospectus of Soil" deals with the environment of soil including the climate terrain and vegetation. It also provides the nature of soil, its structure and ecology in a clear, authoritative and readable style with clear and self explanatory illustration. Since soil exhibits exceedingly complex interaction among its constitutes, it is not easy to describe its exact physical state. On the other hand the literature is so vast and varied, it becomes difficult for both teachers and students to obtain the particular information they required due to the introduction of new technology, greater emphasis is being given to soil formation, its structure and nature which are now becoming limiting factors of crop production.
