Soil erosion is an age-old problem. It has been recognized as a menace to agriculture. A beginning has been made in obtaining accurate information on the losses of soil by erosion and on methods of controlling these losses under varied cropping systems. This book is presented for the use of farmers, policy-makers, and for use in courses in soil conservation.
