Synopsis The main focus of this book is to analyze the socio-economic and living conditions of the prominent Primitive Tribal Groups (PTGs) Konda Savara, Gadaba and Kondh in the North Coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh. The major inference of this study ultimately confirms the postulated hypotheses that, the state of the socio-economic conditions of the three selected major PTG households in the study area are still in the transitional stages. Similarly the major findings of this study reveals that the socio-economic conditions of the selected PTG households in the villages located in the interior hilly areas are relatively poor when compared to the same tribe households living in the villages located in the road side plain areas. Hence, the study advocates that the selected PTG households living in interior villages need much intensive development policy package for their fast socio-economic transmission process.
