Synopsis This book is a compilation of full length papers/articles contributed by researchers engaged in the promotion of ornamental horticulture during National Symposium on Indian Floriculture in the New Millennium, held at Lal-Baugh, Bangalore, between 25-27 February, 2002 under the auspices of Indian Society of Ornamental Horticulture. All the papers included in this book have been refereed and edited appropriately. The articles have been chiseled to the possible extent to make every article crisp, concise and comprehensive but without any harm to the expressions it carries. Through the Symposium, this has been inferred that future of ornamental horticulture in the country is very bright, more so as a major exporter of flowers and flori-products. It already has a potential domestic market. The publication brings comprehensive account of floricultural research in the country, and will benefit those who are in one way or other, associated inj the promotion of ornamental horticulture.
