Research in Education like any other field requires a great deal of patience, endurance and study. Keeping in mind the importance of educational research the investigator has attempted to do justice to her study. Since the topic of her study, 'A critical study of the Educational and Philosophical thoughts of Manu in their socio-cultural context' was based on 'Manusmriti', the base book of Indian values and the whole social set-up of India consisting of the various aspects of society, it required sincere efforts and hard work by the researcher and that too, in times when the book has been the target of criticism by many in the society.
