The Song of Songs is Canticle of Love between Christ and the Chruch. It is the Wedding Song of the Church's and the Christian's mystical union with Christ. It is written in the manner of an allegory. This book of the Old Testament pre-announces the mystery of Christ's spiritual nuptial union with the Chruch and the individual Christian; but it is written in a veiled language. In this book the author drawing upon the constant tradition of Israel and the writings of the Fathers of the Church as well as modern authors, tries to reveal this mystery and makes it accessible to all. Every disciple of Christ is challenged to respond to this invitation of Christ and experience this spiritual nuptial union and intimacy with Christ.

This is not the author's forsy Biblical commentary with an option for a more spiritual approach, in what would otherwise be a lifeless exegetical discourse. This time he definitely makes a bold step in bringing a marginalized, almost censored poetical collection of Hebrew love songs, to the central stage of the divine play of passionate love! It anticipates the greatest love affair on earth between the renewed community and the Messiah-Bridegroom. Thus, it becomes a "Canticle of love between Christ and the Chruch". One more step in extended adaptation, and it becomes the mystic ascent of every individual believer, nay of every human soul, toward unidication with the Beloved at the heavenly "wedding feast of the Lamb.
