Synopsis Advice on the correct use of fertilizers is sought by all growers in order to maximise returns from investment in this purchased input. In order to advise the growers, the extension, promotion, sales and advisory staff need ready access to fertilizer recommendations. In this guidebook we have compiled, perhaps for the first time, state-wise fertilizer recommendations for fruit, vegetable and flower plants. The handbook covers fertilizer doses of both major and micro nutrients, preferred fertilizer types if any, and the recommended times and methods of fertilizer application. It contains information on about 100 crops. We hope that this handbook will be useful to horticultural advisors, growers, field advisory staff of the fertilizer industry and other organisations, soil and plant testing laboratories, teachers, students, training centers, KVKs, dealers, and field officers of institutions financing horticulture.
