Pediatric dermatology is growing in leaps and bounds. There has been constant addition of information in this sub-specialty since its inception. Textbook of Pediatric Dermatology is an attempt to keep pace with the rapid advancement in the subject.

The global response to the first edition of this book was overwhelming and it indeed had made an alcove in the field of pediatric dermatology. Its increasing demand among both dermatologists and pediatricians worldwide motivated us to bring out the second edition.

The goals of the second edition have remained same as that of the first edition, with every effort being made to make the subject useful and easily understood by postgraduate students, academicians as well as practitioners. Dermatology being a visual specialty, good number of clinical photos (Asian skin) have been incorporated. We have added a good number of tables and flow charts to ensure easy readability. Several new chapters have been added considering the recent developments in our specialty like ‘dermatosurgery’ and ‘dermoscopy’. There has been significant revision and rewriting of few chapters to keep pace with the recent advances in the subject.
