"My Afternoon Poems" is a collection of poems written by Dr. Asok Kumar Mohapatra over last ten years after he crossed 50 and entered into the afternoon of his life. Afternoon sun rays remain bright and warm but the approaching sunset dominate our consciousness. The beauty of life becomes more fascinating, as we realize the pricelessness of life in the face of its inevitable end. Lifes charm mingles with this consciousness makes our thoughts in the afternoon years quite unique, because our sense perceptions and longings get sublimated by our reflections on the meaning and purpose of life.

The book contains poems covering various phases of Dr. Mohapatras life.
