Higher education plays implacable role in revolutionizing the world we live in. Higher is synonymous to change, development and man power and nation building. However, the system of higher education in India and particularly Manipur is suffering from numerous chronic paralyzing problems which has infested into a chronic social disorientation. Keeping this background in view; the higher education system of Manipur was study extensively and perhaps intensively in order to reveal the deteriorating factors and components of the system.
