In India middle class and upper class womens participation in gainful occupation is a recent phenomenon. Through ages, their role has been waved as traditional and confined inside the house. Previously, only lower class women were working outside. But now after the industrial, scientific and technological advancement, women from different classes, castes and groups are joining the work force.
